Where wines tell stories

Asprovartzamo
Some wines aren’t made to fill a bottle. They’re made to preserve a story. Asprovartzamo is more than a drink — it’s a testament: the first and only vinification in the world of a nearly lost indigenous variety of Lefkada. Grown in limestone soils using certified organic farming, Asprovartzamo returns to the spotlight with respect, knowledge, and passion. No sulfites, no filtration, no pretense. Only honesty.
Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel begins after three days of skin contact, revealing the grape’s expressive character. For 35 days, the wine develops slowly and naturally, without force. It is then left to mature for five months — untouched, unfiltered, unfined, and pure.
The result? A dry orange wine with 13.8% alcohol, both surprising and moving. Boldly expressing the Ionian terroir, its texture is alive — almost tactile. The finish is long, unpretentious, and quietly inviting.
Behind every bottle of Asprovartzamo lies a choice: to keep alive what was close to being forgotten. And to bring it forward — not with noise, but with substance.

Vardea
In an era where local varieties are fading into the silence of mass winemaking, we chose to listen to the soul of the island. Vardea, the most emblematic and long-forgotten variety of Lefkada, is finally given the chance to speak again — clearly, authentically, without interference.
Crafted from 100% organically grown grapes, this wine is born without artificial corrections or compromises. Its six-day skin contact is not merely a technique; it’s a dialogue between skin, flesh, and time. Spontaneous fermentation — with no added sulfites or other additives — allows nature to take the lead. The result? An unfiltered, unfined, living orange wine.
A six-month rest in stainless steel tanks grants it both stability and room to evolve. In the glass, Vardea radiates the clarity of its origin: rich aromas of white flowers, stone fruits, lemon zest, and delicate herbal notes. On the palate, it’s structured, with moderate acidity and gentle tannins — a wine with soul, body, and character.
This natural expression of Lefkada, certified PGI (Protected Geographical Indication), is an invitation to experience tradition not as something past, but as something alive. Each bottle is a reminder that simplicity — when honest — resonates deeper than any technical complexity.
Vardea is not just a wine. It is an act of faith in local identity — a quiet revolution in your glass.

Vardea Pata Trava
Simplicity. Purity. Soul. Vardea Pata-Trava is much more than a dry white wine — it is the unfiltered voice of Lefkada’s land, raw and untouched. Made exclusively from the indigenous Vardea variety, the island’s most distinctive white grape, it is vinified using the simplest — and most honest — method: the traditional technique of direct pressing, known locally as pata-trava.
From the very first moments of production, every drop of this wine follows a natural path, free from interventions. No added sulfites, no artificial aids. Just grapes, time, patience, and the winemaker’s instinct.
Spontaneous fermentation lasts for 27 days in stainless steel tanks at gently controlled temperatures — a quiet process that fully preserves the character of the variety. The wine then rests for 6 months in tank, unfiltered and unfined. The result? A wine that is alive, unpretentious, and captivatingly authentic.
This wine doesn’t seek to impress with volume, but to move you with its truth. It is made for those who recognize the value of what is unforced, natural, and real.

Chlori
Some wines are created. Others emerge — like a memory, a whisper from the past that refused to fade. Chlori belongs to the latter. A nearly forgotten variety from the old vineyards of Lefkada, saved by the persistence and sensitivity of Dionysis Papanikolopoulos. A wine not made to impress, but to remember — and to move.
Cultivated using certified organic practices on poor, stony soils, Chlori demands little from the land — and in return, offers only essence. Its ungrafted roots reach deep into the limestone bedrock, seeking balance, intensity, and pure expression.
Vinification is natural, without intervention. Nothing superfluous, nothing superficial. The grapes remain on their skins for four days, extracting depth and structure with restraint. Fermentation begins spontaneously and lasts nearly a month, leading to an orange dry wine of character, complexity, and unpretentious clarity.
The wine then rests quietly for months in stainless steel, unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites. The result is pure, wild, authentic. A living wine that evolves in the glass, speaks on the palate, and touches the soul.
Chlori is more than a rare grape. It is a tribute — to perseverance, to tradition, to the truth of place. It is the kind of wine that asks for nothing, yet earns your respect.
VARIETY: 100% Chlori NAME: Chlori VINTAGE: 2024 STYLE: Orange dry ALCOHOL: 12,30% VOLUME: 750 mL ACIDITY: 6,30 gr/l FINING: Not applied FILTRATION: Not applied FARMING: Certified Organic

Keropatis
n Lefkada, when someone said Keropatis, they meant that wine standing somewhere between light and shadow. This pale red wine, with its soft rose-hued color and the clarity of tradition, was once a daily companion for the locals — a wine that needed no fanfare, yet carried deep soul. Today, we revive it — just as it deserves.
Keropatis is a natural, pale red wine made from 100% Vertzami, Lefkada’s most distinctive, bold, and rare variety. Though Vertzami is known for its deep, almost impenetrable color, when treated with restraint and understanding, it reveals a surprising finesse.
Maceration lasts just one day, enough for Vertzami to release only a hint of hue, a touch of structure, and its most delicate aromas. Fermentation is spontaneous, with no additives, no interventions — a pure wine born only from grapes and time. It matures for five months in stainless steel, unfiltered, unfined, and with no added sulfites.
The result? A wine that is alive, light, and richly textured. On the palate, it’s refreshing yet substantial, with low alcohol (12.3%) and rare balance.

Mavropatrino
Some grape varieties don’t shout — they whisper. And once you hear them, you never forget. Mavropatrino is a rare, nearly forgotten variety of the Ionian. So distinctive, so elusive, that only a handful of winemakers dare to cultivate it — and Syflogo may be the only winery that has tended to it with unwavering love, dedication, and deep respect. On the stony, arid hills of Lefkada, Dionysis, Maria, and Vasilis Papanikolopoulos have given this grape its voice back.
And what a voice…
Though it lacks color intensity, Mavropatrino astonishes with its aromatic expression and its juicy, refreshing palette. On the palate, it offers a soft, subtly rounded texture, with vibrant acidity and fine, thirst-quenching notes — like a summer afternoon on the island, captured in a glass.
The winemaking is entirely natural: three days of skin contact, spontaneous fermentation with no commercial yeasts, no added sulfites, no filtration. After fermentation, it rests for six months in stainless steel, settling naturally while preserving the clarity and integrity of the grape’s character.
This natural rosé, at 13.8% alcohol, isn’t meant for loud banquets. It’s for quiet moments that crave depth. For conversations shared with good company. For those who seek truth behind simplicity. Mavropatrino by Syflogo isn’t made for the masses. It’s a personal story of place and time. A wine that pretends to be nothing — because it is already enough, just as it is.

Brousko
Through Brousko, we tell the unfiltered story of Lefkada’s most emblematic variety: Vertzami. A wine that doesn’t mimic the past — it embodies it, with passion, patience, and deep reverence for tradition. And what a voice…
With nearly inky, deep crimson hues, full of promise and mystery, and a burst of aromatic intensity that leaps from the glass, Brousko does not seek to impress — it aims to move. It keeps alive the truth of a land and a grape that have endured hardship, yet still stand proud.
Its winemaking is ritualistic: 7 days of skin contact, followed by 35 days of spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel. Then, it undergoes an aging process that spans nearly three years — first in stainless steel, then in old French barriques, and finally in new, untoasted oak. It is bottled unfiltered and unfined, preserving every facet of its authenticity and character.
Brousko is a contemplative wine — structured, deep, and long-lasting. It’s the kind you open with friends around a winter table, or when you want to be reminded that nature and humans can still collaborate with grace.
