In Platystoma, a mountain village in Lefkada, within a landscape where silence carries sound, light, and memory, Siflogo Winery was founded — not simply as a business, but as an expression of deep emotional need.
Since 1994, Dionysis and Maria Papanikolopoulou began producing wine with respect for tradition and nature, guided solely by the principles of their ancestors.
Today, their son Vasilis continues this work with a fresh perspective, honoring his parents’ values and journey, proving that a new generation can keep tradition alive by giving it new life — without altering its essence. Siflogo is a family-run workshop of natural, organic wines, based exclusively on local, single-varietal grapes such as Vertzami, Vardea, Mavropatrino, Chlori, and Asprovartzamo. Cultivation across the 30-acre vineyard is done entirely by hand — no machines, no chemicals — only natural methods and love, so that every drop of wine radiates authenticity.
The wines of Syflogo are the result of a deep connection to the land, the climate, and the history of the place. They are not mass-produced, but small batches crafted with reverence and emotion — capturing in every glass the true identity of Lefkada.
Fermentation occurs spontaneously, without filters or additives, keeping the taste unprocessed and “alive.” In our stone cellars, the wines quietly age in stainless steel tanks and old oak barrels. Every bottle carries the philosophy of the winery, with the symbol of Odysseus reminding us of nostalgia, roots, and the inner flame. The word “Siflogo” expresses the union of all flames — of passion, creation, and soul — where wine meets human emotion.
